National Beverage Corp. reported a 1% increase in net sales and a 7% increase in earnings per share for the third quarter ended January 25, 2020. The company's 'Stimulus' action plan, particularly for the LaCroix brand, contributed to these results.
Net sales increased by 1% year-over-year to $223 million.
Gross margin improved year-over-year to 36.8% of sales.
Earnings per share increased by 7% year-over-year to $0.57.
Cash increased by $105 million for the nine months to $262 million.
The company is optimistic about future growth opportunities, particularly for functional, healthier, hydration beverages, and is launching two new LaCroix flavors, LimonCello and Pastèque (Watermelon).
